ChildFund Bolivia works with the most deprived, excluded and vulnerable children and youth, giving them the opportunity to improve their own lives and become agents of change who make positive contributions to their communities. Through its work ChildFund Bolivia aims to contribute to an environment whereby child rights are recognised and respected.
ChildFund Bolivia began its activities in 1979 with the aim of strengthening the capacities of young people to promote human development in Bolivia working in Oruro city and furthermore expanded offices to 5 out of the 9 departments of Bolivia, in 19 municipalities, with 19 local organisations in rural and peri-urban areas. Over 20,900 enrolled Children participate in ChildFund programs. In total ChildFund reaches over 177,300 beneficiaries with more than 50% of those under the age of 20.
